Why ‘From The Lodge’?
The idea behind the name originally came from my love of the outdoors. Over time the imagery of The Lodge started to represent something more meaningful. This is the place you retreat to; somewhere quiet and grounded, where you can reflect, create, and reconnect before stepping back out into the world again. It’s a mix of solitude and purpose: heading out on an adventure with your camera, gathering inspiration, and returning to make sense of it all. I love the idea that whatever I share comes from that place - a space where creativity and inspiration meet. I hope that each post, film, and story is then an open invitation for others to do go their own ‘Lodge’, get creative and come back out and present it to the world so we can try and understand things a bit better.
What excites me most is where this can go. I have been plotting so many ideas for ‘From The Lodge’, like longer documentary films, podcasts, products, or experiences that encourage people to get creative. From photography and filmmaking to writing and storytelling in general, I would love for this to become a home for creative people: a place to learn, to feel inspired, and to celebrate human-made art in all its forms.
I want ‘From The Lodge’ to stand for the simple belief: that human creativity matters and we must keep creating.
Thank you for being here and being part of this journey so far. I have no doubt this will keeping moulding and changing as it grows, but that is very exciting. Every like, comment, follow, and share is a massive encouragement to keep trying, keep figuring out and keep creating.
This is just the beginning. I can’t wait to see where it goes from here.
